Pat Testing

AB Electrical offer a very friendly and competent PAT testing service.

We will test your equipment using accurate and efficient test methods by the standards of the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE), checking that your electrical appliances comply with UK health and safety at work directives.

PAT testing consists of a number of tests, visual inspection being the first key element of all checks:

• Damaged plugs and equipment
• Damaged flexes
• Correctly wired plugs
• Correctly rated fuses

Other tests include:

• Earth continuity testing
• Polarity test
• Insulation resistance
• Earth leakage test
